6/19/08 American Girl Movie Premiere to Benefit K.I.D.S.

K.I.D.S. friends and supporters will be able to attend the premiere of the much anticipated new American Girl movie, "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl" on Thursday evening, June 19, at the Ziegfeld Theatre.

A block of 200 tickets, donated by K.I.D.S. Board member Ellen Brothers, is being sold for $100 per adult and $50 per child under 12, with 100 percent of the revenue going to K.I.D.S. Miss Breslin stars in the comedy/drama’s title role as a resourceful nine-year-old whose bravery, compassion and determination help solve a murder mystery and save her family’s home during the Great Depression. The film is scheduled to open in wide distribution on July 2.
