American Apparel and Footwear Association is celebrating a “Salute to Industry Icons” at this year’s American Image Awards Dinner honoring VF Corporation, Belk Stores, Badgley Mischka, and Marvin Traub. The proceeds will benefit K.I.D.S. and Fashion Delivers.
| The event, to benefit K.I.D.S. and Fashion Delivers, will honor the outstanding achievements of individuals and companies who’ve made, and continue to make, extraordinary strides in the world of fashion and retail. Proceeds are being directed to K.I.D.S. and Fashion Delivers because of the organizations’ role in distributing the industries’ excess inventory to children and families in need. |

This year’s honorees will include VF Corporation which will receive the Excellence in Lifestyle Branding award, to be accepted by Chairman Mackey McDonald; the Retailer of the Year award will be presented to president and CMO McKay Belk on behalf of his company Belk Stores, Inc. Marvin Traub will be presented with the first Lifetime Achievement Award by Bloomingdale’s Chairman and CEO Michael Gould. And fashion powerhouse Madgley Mischka will accept the Designer of the Year award.
The dinner and dance will take place at The Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City at 6:30 pm on Wednesday May 14th.
